Ordering Medications

• Prescription Ordering Online

  We now offer a secure online service which can be used to order prescriptions.
  We would encourage patients to contact our reception team to register for this service.

  You will then need to visit the Patient Services website to complete the process
   

• Please note that our telephone prescription line is now closed.   You can order your prescription by registering for our secure online ordering service or by email at tay.ancrum@nhs.scot   You can also hand in your repeat prescription form at reception.   Please contact our reception team for further information.

• Repeat prescriptions can also be ordered by using the tear-off slip attached to your prescription. Simply tick the items you need.   You can post the slip to the surgery or hand to reception in person. If you wish this posted back to you, you must enclose a stamped addressed envelope.
   

Prescriptions will be ready for collection after two working days.

Chemist Collection

Many Chemists will collect prescriptions from our surgery on your behalf.

You should always inform us if you wish your presciption to be put in a chemist collection.

This service can be used whether you order by post, phone, email or in person.

Hospital Prescriptions

A request for a prescription from a hospital doctor or nurse will be ready for collection the following day or put into a chemist collection at your request.

Emergency prescriptions

Any requests for urgent prescriptions received before 12 midday may be available the same day at the discretion of the doctor only. Requests for urgent prescriptions after 12 midday will be ready the following day. All requests will be dealt with as per clinical need.
