We are an established practice consisting of two partners - Dr Ronnie Ip and Dr Zareen Hossain-Ibrahim. We work together in the practice with Dr Kate Macdonald, Dr Vivien Wong, DrJennifer Kao, general practice specialist trainees and foundation doctors. In our practice team are the manager, Fiona Robertson, the practice nurse, Moira Bennett, administrative and health care staff and attached staff of pharmacist, district nurses, health visitors, midwife and respiratory nurse. A number of community clincs eg warfarin and listening service also run within the practice.
We are a teaching and training practice and are committed to providing the highest standards of care.
Also within Ancrum Medical Centre is the separate partnership of Drs I&S Arthur, Clarke, Sinclair and Gill.
On this website you will find all the important information about our practice and services offered. There are some practical tips and links to useful resources. We would welcome any feedback or suggestions for website content.
The practice is currently administering flu vaccines to all patients aged 70 or over and any patients who were shielding. We will contact those who are eligible or, you can phone the surgery to make an appointment at one of our clinics.
All other age groups will be vaccinated in central clinics and will receive information in due course.
The practice has access to spoken language and deafblind interpretation and translation services. If you would like to access this service please let the receptionist know when you make your appointment. If unable to make an appointment by telephone then please email the practice at email@example.com to request an appointment.
****Unfortunately we have taken the decision to withdraw our travel advice service***. Please see the travel clinic page for an update.
If you have muscle, back or joint problems the practice can now give you an appointment to see a Physiotherapist first instead of your GP. The Physiotherapist will assess your problem, give advice and refer on for further treatment if required.
The practice has recently commenced a new text reminder service. Patients should receive a reminder for their upcoming appointment at the practice.
Any patients failing to cancel or failing to attend a booked appointment will also receive a message.
We hope this will reduce the number of wasted appointments and further improve availability.
Please update your contact details when you attend the surgery to facilitate the service
Prescription Ordering Online
We now offer a secure online service which can be used to order prescriptions.
We would encourage patients to contact our reception team to register for this service.
You will then need to visit the Patient Services website to complete the process.
You can still order by email if you prefer although the practice is working towards phasing this out in time.
